Description
A precious capture of a domesticated duck that has a gray head and mostly white breast sleeping at the local park. I haven't found much info on this duck other than it may be possibly a saxony drake. I think it could be a female and there is a male mallard that is always nearby.
You can find domesticated and muscovy ducks at lakes. Most of the domestic waterfowl one sees has been dropped off there against their will as they become too big of a problem to keep. They are often purchased when they are young or won at carnivals. One the most common are the all-white pekin ducks.
I took this shot at ground level to highlight the beauty of this duck. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
